Champ Homes Announces New Scholarship Program
Champ Homes is proud to announce the establishment of a new scholarship program funded by a grant from a generous local foundation.
This initiative will significantly expand access to vital transitional housing services for adults experiencing homelessness in our community.
While Champ Homes' weekly community fee of $150 provides exceptional value—covering housing, utilities, food access, and comprehensive case management—this amount can present a barrier for individuals ready to transform their lives but temporarily lacking sufficient income.
"In the past, we've had to turn away promising candidates who lacked immediate financial resources but were otherwise perfect fits for our program," explains Adam Burnett, Executive Director of Champ Homes. "This scholarship fund is a game-changer. We can now conditionally accept motivated individuals, giving them the time they need to secure income while immediately providing the stable environment essential for their success."
The scholarship serves as a bridge, allowing participants to begin their journey toward self-sufficiency without delay. Recipients commit to obtaining necessary income within a specified timeframe as they work with Champ Homes' supportive services.
"This new fund enables us to say 'yes' to people who are ready, willing, and able to seize this opportunity and make meaningful changes in their lives," adds Burnett. "It removes a critical barrier at precisely the moment when someone has made the courageous decision to move forward."
The scholarship program aligns perfectly with Champ Homes' mission of empowering individuals experiencing homelessness through a compassionate community that builds self-confidence, hope, and essential life skills.
